Radio Technician

Introduction

Whenever there is a need for any images or visuals regarding the internal anatomy of the patients for diagnosis of injury or disease a Radio Technician is usually considered for such tasks. They are a group of medicine professionals trained to use medical imaging techniques like x-ray, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography (PET) as well as ultrasound for that purpose. These types of techniques require usage of radiation for which proper training and education is necessary.

Work Roles

  • Diagnose and cure diseases and problems of the patients.

  • Involve in image creation using CT scans, MRI, x-ray, ultrasound, etc.

  • Be aware of the safety measures which are to be taken before operating the machines.

  • Interpret the reports and derive conclusions accordingly.
