The parent-child relationship is one of the special bonds that a human being shares and experiences in his/her lifetime, as it nurtures the individual emotionally, physically, socially, and in other aspects of life. So, it becomes very important for you as a parent to be aware of all the transactions happening between you and your child not only verbally but non verbally as well.


But how the nature of the bond makes a difference?


Many studies have reported that your attachment and relationship with your child indicates how the child is going to nurture in the coming times. We as a parent need to understand that a child's early developmental stages of life are very crucial and it becomes very important how we as a parent help them understand and take care of their emotions, understanding them and giving them the right values at an early age. Till the time your kids are teenagers, they are well-groomed with principles and ready to take independent decisions. Parents and children relationship is very sensitive and important too. Understand the reason behind willingness or disapproval of going to colleges


Observe if they choose to mingle with friends of the same career or avoid doing so


Don’t enforce your expectations on them


Understand their strengths and weaknesses


Explore the resources related to their chosen career


Check for the influence of peers or relatives in their decision making


Motivate the child in achieving their goals


Seek professional help whenever required
